IF YOU WISH TO EXERCISE A PLAN CHANGE FOR 2025

Completed option selection forms may be handed in at the Scheme's office in Saldanha or at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Alternatively, email the completed form to [email protected]. The closing date for option selections is 27 December 2024.

TALK TO A DOCTOR ON YOUR PHONE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

As a Fishing Industry Medical Scheme member, you can access Hello Doctor, a mobile phone-based service that gives you access to a doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Signing of the National Health Insurance (NHI) bill

As you would have seen in the news, the NHI bill has now been signed by President Ramaphosa. The signing of the NHI bill will have no impact on the Fishing Industry Medical Scheme or any other medical scheme for the foreseeable future. Following the passing of the bill, full implementation will take several years. In the interim, medical schemes and the private healthcare sector will continue to operate without any change.
